Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16/07/2025
This notice describes how Securvita S.r.l.(hereinafter “Controller”) processes personal data collected through the website speedtest.it, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Data Controller
Securvita S.r.l.
Via E. Cosenz, 54 – 20158 Milan (MI), Italy
Email: info@securvita.it
2. Types of data collected
We may process the following categories of personal data:
- First and last name (only if voluntarily provided)
- Email address (only for contact requests)
- Technical data: anonymised IP, browser, access time, referrer
- Data collected via technical cookies and, with prior consent, analytical or profiling cookies
- Speed test results (download, upload, ping, jitter, operator, network node) — with anonymised IP
Client-side tools (QR code, hash, password, book folding) process everything in the browser: no data is transmitted to our servers.
3. Purposes of processing
Collected data is used to:
- Provide the requested services (speed tests, network tools)
- Respond to requests submitted via the contact form
- Calculate aggregate statistics by internet operator (without individually identifiable data)
- Improve the website and the services offered
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Legal basis
- Performance of a contract: provision of the requested services
- Legitimate interest: website security, abuse prevention, anonymous statistics
- Consent: analytical and profiling cookies (revocable at any time)
- Legal obligation: tax and regulatory compliance
5. IP anonymisation
Speed test results are saved with an anonymised IP: the last octet of IPv4 addresses is zeroed out (e.g. 192.168.1.0) and IPv6 addresses are truncated to the /48 prefix. In this way the data cannot be traced back to an individual connection or natural person.
6. Data retention
Anonymised results are retained to power historical operator statistics. Contact data is deleted after the request has been handled or within 12 months. Technical logs are retained for 30 days.
7. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell personal data to third parties. Some data may be processed by technical service providers (hosting, CDN, analytics) selected in compliance with the GDPR and with adequate safeguards for transfers outside the EU (Standard Contractual Clauses).
8. Your rights
You may exercise the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access: obtain confirmation of processing and a copy of the data
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data
- Erasure: obtain removal of data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction: limit processing in certain cases
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Portability: receive data in a structured format
To exercise your rights or for any questions, write to info@securvita.it or use our contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your country of residence.
9. Changes to this notice
This privacy notice may be updated periodically. The current version is always the one published on this page with the update date shown at the top.
